The IT Department of the Moscow Government (DIT)

The IT Department of the Moscow Government (DIT) is responsible for building IT infrastructure that aims to transform Moscow into a Smart City.  Projects capitalize on digital technologies to improve the lives of citizens and the efficiency of government structures. The implemented projects include e-Government, Digital Public Services, the United Medical Information System, the Moscow Online School, the Intellectual Public Transport System, Wi-Fi city solutions and many others.

In the 5G Public Private Partnership (5G PPP), the 5G Infrastructure Association (5G-IA) represents the private side and the European Commission the public side. The 5G-IA is committed to the advancement of 5G in Europe and to building global consensus on 5G. To this aim, the Association brings together a global industry community of telecoms & digital actors, such as operators, manufacturers, research institutes, universities and SMEs. The 5G-IA carries out a wide range of activities in strategic areas including standardization, frequency spectrum, R&D projects, technology skills, collaboration with key vertical industry sectors, notably for the development of trials, and international cooperation.

The 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) unites seven telecommunications standard development organizations (“Organizational Partners”): Association of Radio Industries and Businesses (ARIB, Japan), Alliance for Telecommunications Industry Solutions (ATIS, USA), China Communications Standards Association (CCSA), European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI), Telecommunications Standards Development Society, India (TSDSI), Telecommunications Technology Association (TTA, South Korea) and Telecommunication Technology Committee (TTC, Japan). 3GPP provides their members with a stable environment to produce the Reports and Specifications that define 3GPP technologies.
The project covers cellular telecommunications network technologies, including radio access, the core transport network, and service capabilities - including work on codecs, security, quality of service - and thus provides complete system specifications. The specifications also provide hooks for non-radio access to the core network, and for interworking with Wi-Fi networks.
3GPP specifications and studies are contribution-driven, by member companies, in Working Groups and at the Technical Specification Group level. The Four Technical Specification Groups (TSG) in 3GPP are: Radio Access Networks (RAN), Service & Systems Aspects (SA), Core Network & Terminals (CT) and GSM EDGE Radio Access Networks (GERAN). The Working Groups, within the TSGs, meet regularly and come together for their quarterly TSG Plenary meeting, where their work is presented for information, discussion and approval.
MVNO Europe

MVNO Europe was created in 2012 to represent the interests of Mobile Virtual Network Operators (hereafter MVNOs) which are active on European mobile markets, and have negotiated wholesale access to the networks of host Mobile Network Operators (MNOs). Regardless of their technical and commercial structure, MVNOs face the same challenges when it comes to network access, mobile termination rates, roaming, and ensuring competition in European telecoms markets.

The goal of MVNO Europe is to create a more openly accessible market for all MVNOs, in order to contribute to the growth of the fast-moving mobile communication sector, to ensure that consumers and business users have a wider range of diversified services to choose from and to develop competition on the retail mobile market to their benefit. Our members believe that MVNOs can stimulate innovation in the telecom sector.
